Olive Oil and Tonic Water – 535nm Green Laser

A flask was filled half with olive oil (on top) and half with tonic water containing quinine.

Laser light was directed upward from the lower right corner into the flask.

Note the green laser being scattered by the tonic water and causing the chlorophyll in the olive oil to fluoresce red/orange.

This series was inspired by Bob Fosbury’s Happy Hour pic.
